Your data protection rights under UK GDPR
Last updated: September 2026
Ochre-birch is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This page explains how we meet our obligations under these regulations.
We adhere to the following data protection principles:
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
You have the right to be informed about how we collect and use your personal data. This information is provided in our Privacy Policy and this GDPR page.
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will respond to such requests within one month of receipt.
You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected or incomplete data completed. We will action rectification requests within one month.
Also known as the right to be forgotten, you may request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances, including when the data is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.
You have the right to request that we limit how we use your personal data in certain circumstances, such as when you contest the accuracy of the data.
Where processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, direct marketing, or processing for research purposes.
You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not currently make such automated decisions.

We will respond to all rights requests within one month. In complex cases or where we receive numerous requests, we may extend this period by up to two additional months, informing you of any extension within the initial one-month period.
To protect your personal data, we may request proof of identity before processing rights requests. This is a security measure to ensure personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.
You will not normally need to pay a fee to exercise your rights. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to individuals' rights and freedoms, we will notify the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. Where a breach is likely to result in a high risk to individuals, we will notify affected individuals directly without undue delay.
We primarily store and process personal data within the United Kingdom. Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
Given the nature and scale of our data processing activities, we have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. However, our senior management team oversees data protection compliance, and any queries should be directed to [email protected].
The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is the UK supervisory authority for data protection. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data or rights request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO.
